umh, I would tend to think that this late in the gen, a larger portion of the PS3 userbase are people that bought the PS3 "just for FF", so it seems incorrect to me to compare this release to the PS2 one.
My belief is that the attach rate for FF in japan will be large due to the poor sales of the console. The sales should also be even more frontloaded than with the previous FF games.
But then again, when is christal chronicles releasing? this will steal much of the thunder, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the better seller of the 2 ^^
