Doesn't Norway have the € how high is the VAT in Norway? 24%? We German pay $500 for the 40 gig. Please calculate out the VAT before transferring it to $.

Do you think they'll drop the price of the PS3 again so soon? As for the 360 I agree, there'll probably be a drop by then. The Wii... I wouldn't say it will have a price drop before demand slows down, which will probably not happen until MGS4 releases. Maybe during the summer or autumn (or maybe not...).

Remember that the PS2 took almost two years to have its first price cut. The Wii is more successful than the PS2 so far.

Behold the devaluation of the Playstation brand, happening right before our eyes:

"Backwards compatibility, as you know from PlayStation One and PlayStation 2, is a core value of what we believe we should offer. And access to the library of content people have created, bought for themselves, and accumulated over the years is necessary to create a format. PlayStation is a format meaning that it transcends many devices -- PSOne, PS2, and now PS3" -- Phil Harrison, December 2006

"Backward compatibility is a nice secondary consideration, but it's far from the number-one priority." -- Jack Tretton, October 2007

Woopsi! Nice info. That could do some good for the PS3 this week, but most likley the gain come next week. Thats way to fast announced that retailers and everything is ready.

Questions:

1- How many 60 GB PS3 still exist, and will anyone pick them up when the 80 GB model costs the same? (The 60 GB does have the better BC advantage, any other advantage there?)

2- Will the 80 GB model continue to include Motorstorm?
