Forums - Sales - Wii Fit Plus - Hit or Miss?

As a tribute to my legendary thread, here is the sequel.

How do you see this one doing?

Wii Fit shifted a respectable 100+ K last week worldwide, so I question the timing of this release unless Nintendo expect it to be a hardware mover.  Surely the release of this will kill off all existing Wii Fit sales.

Hit.

Since it is technically a replacement for WiiFit (it has all the same plus more and utilizes your current save files), it will quickly sale on par if not higher than the previous version. Plus, its $20 stand alone version will sell to well over 50% of the current owners. I know I'm buying it.

I would say miss,if its not bundled with the Wii it wont sell.

The Wii can sell games,i was regarding games like this.

Hit.

I remember when someone said Wii Fit would be a miss. Many lulz were had.

Miss

For various reasons, there is no way this is going to be the beast that Nintendo want it to be.

I think it is going to sell quite well, but more than 1 million?  I don't think so.

To be honest, I think it is going to struggle to reach 500,000 by the end of the year, and the 'legs' aren't going to be that good either.

Over 10 million units standalone or bundled with a balance board by the end of 2010.

I mean damn it going get at least 5 million before the holidays are even over.

I love fighting games !!! Come on challenge me !

Hit.

For pretty much the reasons superchunk mentioned.

It's a bit tough to estimate, since Wii Fit is also be sold with the balance board. The Biggest Loser is also coming out, which should increase sales of the balance board, but which version I don't know.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.
