Forums - Sony - Sony: PSP-Go is to get people into stores to buy a PSP-3000

I'm reading the article which is quoting a Sony representative.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Sony never said any such thing... a retailer did.

The misquote thread titles lately are really getting lame. Making such a thread should be a borderline bannable offense, IMO -- like a "three strikes you're out" kinda thing.

@Mr. Spokesman

There is a cheaper model called the PSP3000

I stand semi-corrected.  Grimes is right.  The article is quoting a Sony rep... and the thread title is misquoting the Sony rep.

Even worse.

Sell the PSP Go in the Ipod section and it wont look so bad ^___^ ...and i think the PSP Go is fine, if other products are allowed a variety or higher end model etc why not the PSP.

It's quite confusing but it seems to be a sony rep saying why retailers are stocking the product.

SONY PR is like the senile urine soaked uncle who says whatever he pleases every Christmas.

You gotta love em.

Or they might go in and see the $249 price tag and say screw that, DS for me.

makes sense.

So basically Sony spend the R&D for PSP Go as a marketing expense? awesome!

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

total lies and utter wank box that woman...fuckin sony, so full of shit it's unreal.

Posting a quote from any rep of the Sony company should be a bannable offense. No chances, no nothing. After all when was the last time we actually heard any hint of truth or solid conversation that didn't make the rep look like they were in la la land?

The main attraction of the PSP Go is that it's smaller. In Apple iPod terms, that doesn't make it the high end model. That makes it the low end model. That is the main issue with the Go. It's not being seen by many to be a higher end model, just a different one. Each iPod model is distinctive from the next in look and features.
