Forums - Gaming - Am I the only one getting pumped for Battalion Wars 2?

Ok, I've never played the fist one, but for some reason I'm really getting excited over this game. I absolutely love the look of the game, the bright colours and terrific models nail down an amazing style, and the game just looks delightfully fast and frenzied.

It's also got online multiplayer and Co-op. And I'd love to campaign with some fellow VGers.

So is anybody else excited for this game (oct 29th release)? especially someone who'se played the first?
Or is this game going to get drowned out by everything else coming out?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

I'm very excited for it. Online co-op here I come!!
I bought the first the day it came out, and really liked it, and BWii looks amazing.
We'll have to trade BWii codes when it comes out and play some missions together.

I fear for it.

Why the heck would Nintendo keep this game hidden?

Why did they only allow one mode of multiplayer for the IGN preview? Is it really not ready, or are they being secretive for some reason?

The first game was deemed mediocre by many, and according to the IGN preview, the Wii's controls haven't changed the game much, and the graphics aren't really that much better than the GC game.

So the only thing I can see being different or better is the single player campaign mode...there could be some interesting battles, or whatever...but Nintendo has yet to show any of it...and it releases in just over a week! It scares me, and I have a feeling they're keeping it low profile because they know it's not so great...like a 7.0 game.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Me too, one of the few "100% definate purchase even though i havent any money" games for me (along with SMG, SSBB and MP3)

and i also have not played the first, it was apparently one of the many GC "unsung heroes" like chibi-robo (which is great)

I did not know about online co-op though! I'm already going to rent this...perhaps I'll keep it if it's good enough.

I bought the original for $10 at Gamestop, and I wish I hadn't. Not looking forward to the sequel unless I read a review that says it's 100x better than the first.

I felt the first had a lot of potential it didn't live up to. I'm waiting to see what imrovements, if any, have been made.

The sequel looks like it will be good though. If Im not mistaken one thing the first didnt have id multiplayer. With that addition I believe it will be a much better game.

I had originally planned to get this game, but since my finances are shot I'll probably have to wait until next year. By that time nobody will want to play online with me. :(

I don't think the game will do too well. The first one didn't gets big sales, or even mediocre sales, for a Nintendo game on the Cube. I hope I'm wrong, but I'd say it may be under 200k by the end of the year. If Nintendo didn't give Metroid Prime 3 a decent push, I doubt BWii will get one. Seems like a fun game though.
