The latest example is Uncharted 2..there's no score less than 90 and most scores are of course perfect 100 on metacritic. It's tied with GTA4 (another travesty imo) as the best game of all time.

Not far behind in the top 10 highest rated games ever are two more undeserving PS3 exlusives, little big planet which few even play anymore, and MGS4, which is 70+% cutscenes, and awful, awful, awful ones at that with dialogue worse than a horrible b-movie.

There is not a single other platform exlcusive in the metacritic top 10. Not for 360, Wii, or any other system. But 3 for PS3, so far.

The irony is Sony first party has been perhaps the biggest failure this gen imo, and a big reason Ps3 hasnt sold better. Millions of gamers love Halo, nobody loves LBP, except a few who love it for fanboy reasons (aka, they hate the 360).

I cant think of a single Sony franchise this gen that will be relevant in 10 years. Nothing like Zelda, Mario, Halo and other classic series. Nor do they sell particularly well. So why are they rated so high by the extremely biased media?

I cant find the list now but I was just looking and MGS4 was like 7th highest scoring game all time. LBP was like fifth.

First was tie between Uncharted 2 and GTA4 with 98. Both terrible scores imo. GTA4 was another example of how terrible the critics are.

If anything, it shows a massive Dreamcast bias. Maybe you should bitch about that.

It's not so much the PS3 as it is hype and bribing towards "AAA" games (as deemed by the fanboys).

So it's split into two problems: with Sony's loss of dominance in sales, fanboys have latched onto review scores, contributing to the rise of th Score Whores, which is why half of the hot topics has been flooded with nothing but threads fellating Metacritic's Uncharted 2 score. The other problem is that pretty much any game that is backed with large hype and a developer with some pedigreee will walk away with obnoxiously large scores it may or may not deserve as long as it's not completely broken (see: GTA4 and most recently, NFS Shift).
