Yes, I can. It has several of the best-written characters in the series and the plot is easily, easily the best and most sophisticated to ever have "Final Fantasy" attached to it.

I won't, because I've done it too many times already and I'm half-waiting for twesterm and/or Naz to come in and compare the plot to Star Wars with a straight face, but I could. It would just take a lot of time.

You know, I've always wanted to play this game, but never got the chance to. Is the story realy bad? I keep hearing that it from many websites, however, I thought it was just fanboyism.

This is the true definition of owning.

^ coming from a person that loved every single FF game, yes! It's bad. But to each their own.

It depends. Do you like books? Do you have any appreciation for themes like the rise and falls of empires, the story of smaller countries caught between the conflicts of larger ones, or the relationships between men and the gods they worship?

While it didn't blow me away, it was still a pretty good game. With Vaan having no real love interest though, it just sort of took away from what would have been a great game. To me, it just felt hollow without there being some aeris/rinoa/garnet/yuna/etc

@Khuutra

Wait....you actually liked FFXII story too??? I thought i was the only one in here :P

Why don't you mention how the main character Vaan has no actual part  of the story's  plot whatsoever, or how shallow the characters in general are.

It's the best story in the series, and has three of the best villains in Gabranth, Vayne, and Venat. Gabranth is the best-written character in the history of the franchise. Basch and Ashe are two of the best heroes, and it is onne of the most thematically tight and consistent games in the series since FFIV.

It's not just good, it's legitimately great, a crowning jewel for the franchise, and it always frustrates me to see so many people who miss the point of it.
