I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

Am I the only one who couldn't get emotionally involved in MGS4? The cheese just ruined the emotion for me. Crying during that part while I have to watch the cheesy meryl gunfight...just no, lol. MGS4 was great, but I thought that the other games(especially MGS1 and 3) has much more emotional moments.

I mean, where is the "dragging Eva through the woods" part from MGS3 in your list? That was fanfreaking tastic?

Another thing wrong with this list, is that you left out most of the "Oh snap!" moments of the series. What, were you afraid of spoilers or something? I could list you 10 moments from MGS1 that probably top everything on your list, though admittedly, the torture scene is right up there.

I agree with ya. I have played the metal gear series for a long time ( the first game I played was Snake's revenge for NES ) and MGS4 never really had the moments MGS had and MGS4 was longer. MGS4 had too many plot holes from the past games and the only part I liked in MGS4 is the revisit of shadow moses because it brought me back to the original.

Oh god, someone else is pulling that card. Want to have a little talk about this my friend?

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Let's not criticize the games here. MGS has been flawed in a lot of ways, but the games have always been able to shine so brightly that those flaws are covered up by that greatness. No need to nitpick, but also no need to flame anyone when they point out something obvious, like "MGS4 has some plotholes" either, lol.

lol, I think that one had an effect on those people who already knew the mythos behind Metal Gear before MGS1. Grey Fox didn't make my unlucky 13, because he had little or no character development, and I saw it coming a mile off.

That said, it was well done, and a great moment in the series.

MGS1 is the best game in the series, though, and imo, none of the others even come close. It's one, if not the best game ever made.

Zen, my friend, there's no flaming involved here (yet), just common sense!

The thing is, there's virtually no plot hole. If anyone can't analyze the most important part of the game, which was the part with Eva in Chapter 3, they just didn't play the previous games enough (or have a hard time doing connections in their head). Heck, the biggest complaint I have was that everything was summarized too much!

Oh wait, there are plot holes about Sunny and what's gonna happen next, I guess... That's pretty much it.

SPOILERS! Ok the first plot hole that bothered me the most is Dr. Clark. Which was a he in MGS but a she in MGS4. Another one is the ending of 4 when Big Boss pretty much said that Eva, LO, NH, worked together to free him from the patriots then why would Eva throw herself in a fire for a body she knew wasn't Big Boss's? Now Vamp, he run on water, drowned in water you can't get up from get shot in the head and the best thing they come up with is shoes and nano machines? LOL! thats just a few of many.
