Forums - Gaming - Flash newbie seeking gamer advice to make his racing game rock

lol sorry guys! Balancing that out was tough cos I literally had to do it over night to make the launch date) and I had allways been concerned that it was really unbalanced for the base car. So the beginning speed is to fast and the turning is to loose? its needs to be tighter? (so slower and tighter) I thought it may be to slow, but thats great to know it should be slower cos I actually sped it up in the final build, should have left it.

So with the desperate need for a mini map, what do you think about this other idea to compliment it.

Instead of having an arrow appear on track, what about a flashing arrow that appears on the screen that flashes faster and faster as you approach the corner. Or changes to red if you are going too fast for the corner? something similar to how the driving line in GT prologue and Forza turns red if you need to brake for the corner?

No.

Flashing arrows aren't a good enough substitute. They may be slightly better, but a mini-map if best.

Oh yeah mini map for sure, but what do you think of having both the map and the HUD arrow? Do you think having the arrows on the track is ok or would having an arrow that appears on the HUD that responds to the players speed by changing colour (red for "too fast slow down!" and green for a good aproaching corner speed) and flashes at different speeds depending on the distance from the corner?
