Well if it makes you feel any better I LOVED Golden Axe as a kid, but I was a complete Sega boy, probably more than Soriku is a nintendo one now =)

GA1 & 2 anyway.. 3 was weak. 

I'm not holding out hope for a good remake, they rarely are =/ 

 On another note, I hear the Shining Force team  are working on a new project? I'm looking forward to it, I adored Shining Force too ;D

A return of streets of rage will also be welcome. I loved the 2nd one a whole lot.

I loved Streets of Rage 1 and 2 as well, Final Fight, Knights of the round, Double Dragon, TMNT Arcade...

I loved the lot. Sideways scrolling beat-em-ups were some of my favourite games, but since now everthing has to be 3d the genre is dead. The closest we have now is stuff like Heavenly Sword and the Dynasty Warriors saga. While good in thier own way, I don't think they can ever live up to the magic of the old school heros and we have to move on.

You do know that if they were it would be Shining Force 4 right?  (They've already made 2 and 3.)  Just making sure incase you didn't and your missing out on more SRPG fun.

It was a side-scroller kind-of like double dragon, but with dwarves and warriors etc...  If you have a 360, you can download it from XBox Live arcade.

 I used to love this game as a kid, not sure how well it will update though, but hopefully it'll be good.
