Forums - PC - Installing a new monitor

some sites say to simply hook up the monitor and install it, but other sites say i need to uninstall the current one first

Congrats on taking your first step into a larger world.

Sorta literally.

thanks lol

if anyone interested i got this monitor

lol, I find your question funny.

Your monitor does not need to be installed/uninstalled. Only video cards need that.

You only need to find out what your monitor's native resolution is (should be in the manual) and set your display for that.

Buy a DVI cable for that. I've heard that this monitor doesn't come with a DVI cable. DVI>VGA in quality.

(VGA is usually the blue one and DVI is usually the white one)
