Can somebody explain all the excitement for mytwitterfacebook. I don't get why people love using it so much. When i get on one of these profiles all i see are annoying ads, annoying music, kiss ass friends and the most mundane topics or thoughts. I guess i dont get it.

You are describing MySpace (and I agree about MySpace - I have never seen a MySpace page that didn't make me want to hurl.)  Facebook and Twitter do not have the same problem.  I'm still a little creeped out by the amount of info people are giving to a single company (Facebook) - but obviously many millions of other people are not concerned enough to stay out.  Twitter is fairly benign if only because it's so simple.

Just me a damn web browser MS,Quit dragging your ass!

I'll pass on that. I really don't want Internet Explorer touching my 360.

Also one thing to remember guys, this update probably won't just include the Twitter/Facebook/Last.FM update. It will most likely include a lot of other cool things like the instant 1080 streaming and the new Zune Video Marketplace. That's a reason to look forward to it.

I have a PS3 too and Facebook isnt as complete there like on a PC, and Last FM isnt fully functional. Maybe the way they implement it on the Xbox 360 will be whole tho.

What MS needs to do is add a web browser to their 360 interface, adding those gimmicks is just pointless... Of course, having IE on the 360 is kind of scary XD

I wold love to have a browser as well. I just don't think we will ever see it.

MS adding a web browser to the 360 is bad business decision for them. The last thing they want is to deter someone from actually buying a PC where they make more money. Not to mention if they do they also risk alienating their PC partners such as Dell, HP, IBM, SONY, Toshiba, and eMachines among others.

IMO this is a waste of resources and time. Who's going to use it?

Girls and women.
Microsoft want this demographic too.

Nobody has ever answered these for me yet, so i'll ask them here.

1.) What is the point in Facebook and/or Twitter without a keyboard? Will 360 allow USB keyboard support?

If there is no USB keyboard support I don't see why anyone would want to type with a controller and/or a controller add-on when they have a PC.

If there are no apps I also see Facebook as pointless because a lot of the Facebook love comes from the applications. If it does have the applications however but does not have Mouse/Keyboard support I would once again not see why anyone would use it instead of just hopping onto their PC.

Never heard of this?
Typing with the messenger kit is as simple as a PC keyboard. Both are QWERTY.
