When it comes a mouse substitute, it would seem to me the wand would a lot be better than trying to aim at the IR bar on top of my TV. Sony's wand would be the next best thing to a mouse for consoles. PC keyboard and mouse combo may not be king of FPS (when it comes to controls) for much longer.
the ps3 also support mouse and keyboard... they dont use it often.

Sony (just like the other two) isn't going to try and push the support of mouse and keyboard because it's from the PC. This is actually Sony's hardware, thus more cash, so they will try to "sell" it a little harder.

let me rephrase it then. RE5 alt is not the killer game that will sell the hardware. RE4 Wii was not a game that sold the Wii.
