Forums - Gaming - Alpha Protocol Delayed

The SEGA leaked memo stating game was very hard and not very RPG like caused much damage to it I believe. It seemed it had very little hype to begin with and then the leaked memo seemed to affect it even more.

This I do not believe. This is Obsidian we're talking about. They made Kotor 2 and NWN 2 plus expansions. They're the bastard child of Black Isle (Planescape: Torment, Fallout 1&2) and Troika (Arcanum, Vampire - The Masquerade Bloodlines). They're the kings of WRPG.

My guess is that the guy that made the report probably failed to realise that he's actually making decisions and shaping the path of his character. And since you don't control a party in Alpha Protocol, the guy thought it looked like more of a third-person shooter than RPG, which is stupid because controlling a party or not is irrelevant.

Damn, I was looking forward to this. Wasn't it meant to be released Q1 2009 at first? mh...

Shit. Well, I guess Borderlands moves up a spot on my wish list.

Noooo that was my most wanted game of Q4 :(
I'm now down to Dragon Age only for my rpg fix (unless Venetica is good and gets release this winter)
