This is really your first time playing it, though? That's great. What class did you take? Are you going Light Side?

Yeah, it's a game I always wanted to play, but never had an Xbox... and when it came to PC.  Really I was a huge Civilization junkie.  Played pretty much nothing but turn based strategy games on PC.

Went with a scoundral even though i've heard it's not the best choice from a friend whose played it... game annoyingly just crashed on me for some reason.  Not a big deal though as i am a compulsive saver.

As such going for the "Dashing rogue" good guy type.  Ala Han solo.  Though maybe a little less of a jerk.  Hence how i end up breaking into peoples houses and then giving them money to pay off their bounties.

Figure after that I can go with a Soldier Darkside type  and then a Scout boyscout type.

The kind of gameplay is right within my wheelhouse so i can see myself replaying it a few times.

Used to being behind the times.  Didn't even play fallout 1 or 2 till last year.   Hoping they release Arcanium on digitial download eventually too, another game i've heard nothing but good about.

Not about to pay over past MRSP for a used copy of a game.

That's not really a bad path, so long as you're willing to use your skills. Are you going for melee weapons or guns, as a Scoundrel? I know instinct will tell you to take guns, but your feats will be better used for melee.... you'll find out why soon enough.

Yeah, that's why my friend said it's bad to go with the scoundral, cause later on guns get underpowered....

But honetsly i'm the kind of guy that relishes playing the unpopular and underpowered stuff.

In Fallout my favorite weapons choice was barehand fighting.

In KotOR2 guns are a much more viable weapon line because of the upgrade system and improved distance feats - Hell, you can actually go hand-to-hand in that game too - but in a few more hours you might end up abandoning guns anyway.

We'll find out eventually!

If you do stick to Scoundrel then make sure you get all the Sneak Attacks you can.

I gotta admit i almost gave up guns when i saw how cool melee on melee combat is.

I kept thinking "That's the kind of thing that might make MMO's interesting."

So maybe the KOTOR MMO will be ok.

I don't get why almost all MMO's use that point and click system and not a more advanced adventure or ARPG setup.

Or even a FPS setup.

Yeah, well, I don't think I want to get into The Old Republic. I'd rather have a KotOR3. I just hope it doesn't end up falling flat on its face...

But then I don't want it to do too well, either, because I still want a KotOR3.

True.   I doubt i'll play it anyway, MMOs that you have to pay for bother me.  And i assume it's using the monthly installment plan.

So whats this then? I have never heard of it

It's a restoration mod: the original game was rushed and had a ton of stuff cut out as a result, especially in the end game. This mod restores much (although not all) of that content.

No way! Mira with twin blasters (especially Freedon Nadd's blasters...) is second only to The Exile, even in the late game. With the added feats and abilities, KOTOR II makes guns useful even at the end of the game.

Aw... I just got screwed. I killed the Rancor rather then use that potion for whatever and his stupid corpse got in the way.

Lured him to the door, ran through it then pelted him with frag grenades.

I mean... i killed him the other way too... but just overpowering him gives you 500 more EXP.

Edit: aha.  You beat up the corpse after it's dead.  Good thing i didn't save over.
