Nice. I've played 24 hours now, so I guess i'm about halfway through? I'm taking my time, doing all the quests I can find. Even grinding a bit, where possible. |
Very interesting. Where are you, exactly?

You needn't grind: the original caps you at level 20, which you'll easily hit before or shortly after reaching the final planet.
Out of curiousity, what planets have you visited so far?

I'm on Manaan, having completed Tatooine and Kashyyk. I'm on level 16, I think. I just assaulted the Sith embassy.
It's weird. Battles are difficult at times, and downright easy other times. In here there has been nothing that could threaten me at all.
The game works well on Vista by the way. The only problem I have is with my new widescreen monitor. There are no widescreen resolutinos to choose. I also have problems with my dual monitor setup. I click outside the game and it takes half a minute to get back in again. Not very fun.
Apart from monitor trouble, I'm having a blast though. Lightsabers are still cool!

THAT is evil!
REALLY evil!

Tatooine AND Kashyyk, eh?
What do you think of Jolee and HK-47?
...Also, are you Dark Side or Light Side?
Yeah, I wasn somewhat shocked and miffed: shocked because it seems so early to hit a cap, and miffed because I'd chosen my feats very poorly. The good news is the cap in the sequel is 50, which you'll never reach.
And I second Khuutra's question: what do you think of two of the most awesome Star Wars characters ever?
Both are awesome. Though I don't use HK-47 a lot because he seems pretty useless in battle. Actually had a couple of good laughs from dialog. That doesn't happen often.
The entire game is filled with awesome dialog and great characters. Even characters that only get a couple of lines feel important in the moment. And the depth of the dialog trees feels much more real than they did in Mass Effect.
I'm playing a Light character, by the way. My name, which will soon echo through the galaxy, is Killer Gran. I smile a bit whenever I introduce myself to someone.
I'm avoiding all things dark. Or well... When I do them, I reload just afterward. The Dark Side is tempting.

HK-47 is a lot better in the second game, partially because it's easier to supplement his Dexterity and partially because guns are just more viable weapon choices at that point.
He got kind of shafted here, but his shielding and immunity to mind powers still makes him useful later on.
Jolee's awesome pretty much the whole way through, though.
When I finish this game, I'll almost have to get the second one, don't I?
How many of the characters are the same? Is it a direct sequel?

You'll see whenever you pick it up.... it's a sequel, yes, but I don't know if you would call it "direct". Very little of your current party would be returning.
Are you Dark Side or Light Side? Male or female?
Light, male. As I said, I try to avoid the Dark Side. I always tend to be a wuss in games.
