I want a real explanation with depth  from poeple interested in society why FPS are so populare in the west, but not in the east.

FPS games are generally made out to be macho though. Hence US obsession.

eastern countries through history have been some of the most blood thirsty and violent.

for example Japan in WW2... go read up.... horrific treatment of prisoners of war.

I dont see many FPS coming out of Germany or Japan... maybe there is something in that?

Very good. So in other words they are less aggressive because they are maybe embarresed of the past?

But should not countries in the west be the same?

But yes.. I am pretty sure there is a general embarrasment in Japan and Germany of their early 20th century history. Can hardly be proud of it.

In other words some countries are so embarreses of the past that they won`t produce fps shooter games, but countries like say usa which don`t have a absolutely fantastic past in wars are still not embarresed enough?
