Maybe because the U.S nuked japan and killed a load of people, and that has caused japan to hate american products, apple is the exception, and even then the walkman / PSP are going up against apple "IN JAPAN" the rest of asia is a different story.

i think your first mistake is trying to figure out what the hell is going on in a japanese person's mind. have you seen the kind of tv shows they watch? it's incomprehensible.
art is the excrement of culture
PS3 is riding the wave of success from the PS2. MS still has to establish themselves (which they are doing a lot better this gen).
Do you think that Japanese' bias agaisnt foreign products, especially American ones, come from their feeling of insecurity that their products are inferior (I dont say they are inferior, i only say they are afraid of the idea of being inferior)
maybe most japanese just dont like change or just plain ignorant when it comes to other brand.

Ipod did in fact outsell sony MP3 players for a number of years, my point stands. In 2005 it had 60% market share.

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.
I think fps just aren't popular in Japan. They more appreciate the story I mean, think of anime.
