Okay, trying to bring logic back into this topic: OKAMI IS NOT A ZELDA SPINOFF. It is a very similar game that did use similar controls and gameplay elements. As LotK said, you could probably call it a Zelda take-off. Does that finish that?

Anyway, if it's budget priced I'll buy it. They were smart enough to budget price RE4 so I'm guessing they will be smart enough to budget price this as well. I love Okami and I'm constantly replaying it. If I had it for the Wii that would put me one step closer to finally packing up my PS2. I hope they make it more difficult though. It's too bad Capcom is retarded and destroyed their best (by far) development studio. Oh well. Seeds is reportedly working on a Wii game so I should still get to play their great games.

Here is the google translate for each article:

Both are very clear without much uncertainty in them. It also seems clear that this is a remake, which makes sense considering the death of Clover.

Do you mean me? My abbreviation is LTNK, not LotK. I am Lord The Night Knight, not Lord of the Night, or Lord of the Knight (although that is a pretty good pun). The actual Lord of the Night is my liege, and I am his vassal, therfore I am a Knight of the Night, but I also have my own lands and vassals, so am also a lord. Therefore, my title is Lord The Night Knight.

Okami with neat Wii controls at a budget price. Follow what RE4 does and BAM!

Profit!

 I don't really see how Okami would benefit from the Wii controls cheme.  Ashooter like RE4? Yeah sure, but Okami? Then it would have controls very similar to the wolf controls in Twilight Princess on the Wii.

 Twilight Princess didn't have the Celestial Brush.

Nice. I from what I read on IGN this game always sounded good. In fact nearly every article about this game on IGN draws comparisons to Zelda series.

@http://ps2.ign.com/articles/733/733122p1.html
"...wholly beautiful and quite possibly the PS2's answer to Zelda....It might not quite be on the level of Zelda, but it's probably the closest thing we've ever seen outside of Nintendo, and that's saying a whole lot."

@http://ps2.ign.com/articles/760/760817p1.html
"Talking of upgradeable weapons, the overall structure will feel very familiar (and just as polished) to anyone with even a passing acquaintance of The Legend of Zelda series."

@http://ps2.ign.com/articles/725/725493p2.html
"The game's progression is somewhat Zelda-esque in that you'll travel from town to town while cleaning up the land and will be presented with new goals, some of which directly tie into the game's storyline and some of which are sort of side missions that allow you to gain additional powers."

Go to IGN's http://ps2.ign.com/objects/678/678618.html page and you can see pics and videos. This game is very Zelda-esque. Pretty much every review of the game has made the same connection. Sorry, but that connection is a major reason why it should do well on the Wii. The Zelda audience.

OT: YAY!! I really want to play this game.

 Oh, there's a brush?

*slap*

I suppose I should play the game before I speak, lol.

Maybe I'm being a pessimist but i don't see how this game would benefit from a Wii control scheme. Am i the only one who thinks drawing with the wii pointer would be akward and become a chore?

Nonetheless, the more people get to play this game the better.

Hence why there was also speculation about a port on the DS a while ago. It seemed to fade away, but with RE4 now coming to cell phones, who knows?

Didn't that Sven guy (the one who said the PS3 fans should love Capcom by the end of the week) say that they had more announcements coming on Thursday and Friday? This could be one of them.

lol why would PS3 fans love Capcom for porting one of the best PS2 games to Wii?
