I am going to Dominican for a week and want to get some old school gaming going on the PSP. I need some emulators that work good and can play games as good as original consoles did.

I already use a genesis/sega cd emulator called pico drive and that works amazing. I am looking for following system emulators for PSP, if they exist...

SNES, Neo Geo, Sega Saturn (if it exists), MAME with good game support

Any help is appreciated...

As far as I know, there are NES, SNES, N64 (works slow), SMS, Mega Drive/Genesis + CD and couple more emulators available. You can also play PS1 games.

I don't think we can post links and stuff so pm me if you want some details or want to ask something.

I have a SNES one and MAME installed on my PSP 2000, but it's at my gf's right now so I can't give other details than those that I recall: the SNES one (I think it's SNES9x) works quite well save for some audio hiccups and the occasional frameskip, while MAME (it's MAME4ALL) does not.

The MAME requires oldish roms (0.37 I think), and most of them don't work or are quite choppy/exhibit really jerky scrolling even with the PSP clocked to the max. I can't really recommend it, but I didn't find better alternatives last time I looked for them.

I don't know what you're really expecting us to give you, since it's against forum policy to post links to ROMs or emulators.

It's a good start.

Some amazing and often overlooked emulators on the PSP are CPS1PSP, CPS2PSP and MVSPSP. If you're into MAME then check them out.

try putting SNES cartridge in UMD slot, it worked for me !

or try qj.com , they have some good stuff.

I like my GBA emulator called gpSP_kai.

I've been playing some Mario Kart with my friends on a bus. (I actually own the GBA cartridge for MK :p)
