call it what you want but its a delay {edit: a game can be implied as releasing whether it has an exact release date or not and when that time frame has come and gone in my opinion the game has been delayed from its implied release which in this case was this year 2009} and nomatter how you look at its fail for sony by releasing gran turismo 5 after  forza 3....i say expect more delays after forza 3 releases because unless GT5 blows  forza 3 out of the water its another case of over hyped egg in your face for sony...maybe polyphonics (and square enix while im complaining ) can ask naughty dog or insomniac how you make a quality game in under 5 years.

before anyone blasts me for being a sony hater i dont own any (not one) microsoft product that im aware of. what i do own is a wii and a ps3( on a side note my dvd player, mp3 and laptop are sony products) and so  far sony has yet to release the 3 games i bought the system for which have been talked about since launch or even prelaunch . i think that gives me a right to be annoyed.

GT5 was never announced for 2009, how can it be a delay?

Technicalities aside, I am fairly confident it will hit Japan in march, but there's always the possibility it won't. And America and Europe certainly won't see it in March

It never got a release date. Now that we have one, if it gets pushed back further, THEN it's a delay.

when a company releases a demo for a game and you have to wait 3 years for the game theres a delay in there somewhere....

i actually use linux but im sure i have some microsoft stuff in there somewhere since you mention it lol

3 years is a long time, but a better way of saying it is that it's just taking too long to release.

hopefully sony is smart and they won't release it in the west in march.Cause march belongs to God of war in EU and NA.

@OP: Well ask Naughty Dog if they had to make 1000 unique character models with different physics for each one of them? You can't compare that... Uncharted 2 is will be best game of this year no doubt, but it doesn't that long to develop it, because it's not as CONTENT huge as GT5 is. I don't know if you are aware of the amount of work it takes to recreate car realisticaly in 3D software... Now add the fact, that they are creating REALISTIC interier, but not only dashboard, but the whole car interier... in 1000 cars! I'm actually surprised it took them only 5 years. (I'd quit from the frustration, when I do some concepts, I can't see that kind of work for a good month)
