Yep, seriously.

Apparently this news was so mindblowing that nearly everybody in the world managed to miss it when it was announced during Sony's TGS keynote. Maybe it was so amazing and thrilling that everybody's brains imploded trying to comprehend such beauty and wonder. What I'm sarcastically trying to tell you is that a new form of PlayStation Home is coming to the PSP.

No more will you have to be thethered to your couch when enjoying the thrill of the poor man's Second Life. PlayStation Room is a new service coming to the PSP in a Winter firmware update, where players can communicate to each other and personalzie their own avatars. It's stylistically quite different from Home, with avatars no longer looking like creepy living mannequins and instead now resembling Bratz Dolls. 

I have no idea what to make of this.

What were they thinking!? Release Home first and then you might think of bringing it to the PSP.

Home is out, but since it's constantly updated it will remain in beta.

PS Room however adds functionality to the PSP that isn't there. Chatting with friends through Room. Potential PSP friends list or being able to have your PS3's friends list brought over. You will likely have to use the PS3 in someway, but it's an interesting service.

Looks like they are trying to encourage Girl gamers to fraternize and purchase more stuff.

Uhhhhh.... Well.... It looks cuter than home... that's for sure...

" Hi there I see you have a PSP with you like I do. Why don't we sit down and have a virtual chit chat with PSP room?" Just not getting into it but I guess teenage girls might like it.
