The only thing that truly makes the Go a separate system, is that's all digital. I must that getting 4 psp games free is a much better deal. The problem I have is that I own most of those 17 games.

PSP GO! can go away from my purchase list
PSP 4000......I'll wait for you!
wow, that sucks.
So, now what is the possible reason for anyone with a PSP-3000 to buy the Go? I can't think of one single benefit.
Hell, I can't even think of any reason why you would choose a PSPGo over the 3000 in the first place.
I really don't understand Sony's logic with this model.
@superchunk
sony obviously think that current psp owner only have 1 psp game
I'm gonna score a PSP Go, and I own a PSP-2000. I also own like 35 UMD games, and 10-ish digital ones (incl. PS3/PSP PSOne classics). A trade in program would be cool, but... I'll take the all-games-in-my-pocket sleekness of the Go anyday, for all future titles. I really dislike having to pick and choose which game I'm gonna have in the UMD drive on any day, and I'm not willing to plunk money down on old style mem sticks, when I could just put that money toward a Go instead.
I got to fiddle with a PSP Go at PAX this year -- its worth it for the form factor and the 16GB built-in storage, IMO (that'd cost like an extra $100 to have on my PSP-2000 anyway). I'm pretty certain PSP owners upgrading is just gravy to Sony -- the TGS announcement said there would be 400 games available for download when the Go is released, and 700 shortly thereafter...
Considering there are about 130 available for DL right this moment (by my count, incl. PSOne classics), and there's a lot of good stuff available in that set, I'd say that new PSP Go consumers are going to have an awesome selection of available games right at their fingertips, and that's pretty attractive for a new consumer (or old, if you want digital, or cant' find used).
Blaming Sony for the unwillingness of the 3rd party publishers and retailers to bend over backwards for you is... ridiculous. I would love it though, and (esp. since Sony is cool enough to do it) any publisher willing to offer a trade-in program is dang awesome. You guys can't seriously believe that Sony could offer a UMD conversion program without making deals with every publisher involved first, and in some cases, retailers as well, do you?
