Forums - Microsoft - Forza 3 Demo - Fail?!

You must be playing a different game then. And you can't really comment on anything while you are still playing a corrupt demo.

The cockpit view is definitely 60 FPS... Maybe your TV only supports 30-50?

Btw I don't know if you know this but the demo we are playing IS the final version of the game. They put the demo together to celebrate the game going gold. And when I said you must be seeing shit I was talking about the Jaggies you mentioned. They are tiny and only visible on the cars where there very thing polygons or gaps between polygons such as where the edge of the rim meets the tyre.

Well, your saying the opposite to what everyone else is saying over on the Forza forum, lots of jaggies, cockpit view not 60FPS, lots of bugs in the demo, the demo not the final build, and again, LOTS of people over on the forza forums and xbox forums are having the exact same problems that i'm having, the download is not corrupt, it is because one of the replay camera angles is too low (which causes it to go through the track making the track vanish, just found out lol) which will be fixed for the final release.

P.S, my HDTV supports 120hz 100hz, 60hz, 50hz etc, it is a superb (and new) 1080P TV connected via HDMI.

Do you have an SD TV?  Those graphics look so bad!

Nope, you can blame my crappy camera for those lovely pictures lol

seeing thise images...and you guys realy belive forza3 is in the same point as gt5..wa..wa.HWHAHAHAH

feck man you need to upgrade your tv, trust me it will be worth it!

Back on topic though, yeah apparently it is something to do with fiddling with the settings like trying to decrease reflections and what not. If you turn those back on to normal settings you wont have a problem.

But upgrade your TV! :)

Official reply from one of the Forza 3 designers (Forza 3 forum) regarding the track glitch/bug:

Re: Bug: Camera cuts through track and scenery in replay mode

In order to empower the video creators in our community we've added these fixed style cameras.

At first we we're concerned with the issue you describe...the camera clipping through geometry, however we felt it was a small price to pay for to give users the ability to get up close on the racing action they have saved in their replays.

So in short this is something that happens as a result of empowering our users and is a "bug" we're willing to accept for this very reason.

Thanks!

Nice TV and you are exaggerating with "everyone". I have been browsing the FM3 forums for around 20 minutes now and have not come across one similar complaint to the ones you listed in this thread. I have also watched a replay for a good 15 minutes while on the phone and the camera has never dipped below the floor and caused all this.

Seriously, how many times, the poor quality images are due to my rubbish camera NOT my TV lol, my TV is superb!

Are you serious? there are looooooads of posts about it, i'll give you some links if you can't find them,

And if I explain where to look it might help you see where the problem happens for me? in a replay keep watching, you should see the cars going up a hill, when the camera moves it is looking at the hump/top of the hill, as the cars come down the hill the camera lowers down and clips the track, it is here where the problem happens, sometimes it's fine but most of the time (for me) the track vanishes until the camera moves along to the next section of track.

Try it and let me know.

wow that's bad. Yeah its just a demo but still. Usually demo's are passable.

Interesting indeed.  That sounds like a cop out.
