"NO UMD DRIVE, ALL DIGITAL DOWNLOADS, BACK CATALOGUE TO BE UPLOADED TO PSN, GTA CHINATOWN WARSWink, MORE POWERFUL THAN PSP-3000, MINIS, 16GB MEMORY, APPS."
Aside from No UMD drive all the rest is true for PSP3000 as well. It is NOT more powerful than PSP-3000 as ALL PSPs are the same (they have to be).
No UMD drive is a fail for me. If Sony allows install of UMD games like MS does for xbox360 that would have taken care of any slowness introduced due to UMD drive issues.
NO UMD Drive is a RIP OFF scheme AFAICS since you will not be able to sell your games once you are done. You will also never see a price drop as there is no competition and usually end up paying a premium over UMD disc versions.
Buy a PSP-3000 with 2, 8 GB sticks you will be happier.

I honestly can't understand why anyone wants a GO - its not like the size of the PSP is a poor feature.
No UMD = no cheap games from stores, or borrows from friends.
It has a smaller screen, and less battery life.
It costs more, and generally lacks the features of the normal PSP.
The controls look more cramped to me - although I can't comment until I play one.
So... whats good about it again? Its smaller? The screen slides?

Soooo, percentagewise, how many wiiware, psn or xbox live games have received a price drop?
Just get a psp-3000, the pspgo! in the J mans opinion is one of the worst desisions sony has made this gen.
Do not be fooled......the pspgo is just the psp-3000 , just smaller and no umd drive. They have the exact same power......except one has a umd drive while the other doesnt.
And if you dont have a ds get that cuz its much better than the psp.
N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!
Well the Go has Bluetooth over the 3000 but drops the IRDA. To be perfectly honest I'm not really aware of any applications that used the IRDA so I don't think it's a real loss there. The UMD I can take or leave. I'm okay with digital distribution. I don't believe they have no competition though.
You won't see a Go price drop... ever. A huge portion of the price is the only reason the retailers will even sell the device -- its the retail profit margin.
The only way the Go could ever see a drop would be if the retailers worked out a deal with the software publishers (not just Sony), that saw them receive a portion of the revenue from downloaded games, based on the number of hardware units they've moved. That's the only way any downloadable-content-only device will ever see truly serious price drop, outside of some dang major hardware revisions, because if the retailers don't see some decent money, they have NO reason to carry it. None.
@k_beckman
Only sold through PSN so no competition.
@theprof00
Looking at all the other download only options (Kindle, XBLA, PSN) I am pretty sure we will see no price drop as competition is what drives prices down. Value is determined by what a consumer is willing to pay and not what it is actually worth. So if people are willing to pay more for digital only content there will be no price drop.
Fatal inertia EX (download only) is still at the price it was launched at 2 years ago. Despite being a good game (PS3 version handles a lot better than xbox360 version) it failed to succeed. I would have bought it if it was at half price as for me having a DISC is important.
Download the demo and play it. It even has online support in the demo.

i'll probably upgrade when it is less than 179, has more than 16gigs of memory (if games take 1gig each i'd be out of memory in a matter of months) and has a good library of downloadable games
