Its probably NOT 1.89 but it could be 1.09 and don t forget the Phat Ones which were still on the market so maybe just 1 Mio Slim but with the phat Ones the Week could still be 250 or even 300k even if this man would think that the people would care this much about numbers and say the 100% exact Number i think he think it just dont matter if he says 1 Mio or 1094321 why do you act like a statment of him is 1000% correct maybe he just dont care as 99.99% of the worlds population. Fo the most people its enough if he says that the SLIM sold extremly well and thats fact.

1 Million in first 3 weeks starting August 24th? Thats make PS3 undertracked by 100K on vgchartz.

1 Million minus 850k (2 weeks in Sept) minus 50K (NPD adjustment for Aug.) then we have a 100K less.

perhaps...but remember there's a margin of error on all these numbers, and the numbers here on this site are actually from the week previous.

I have a hard time believing 2 things mentioned in this thread.

1. Well it isnt an exact number so it is probably more like 1.1 million. No if it was anywhere close to 1.1 million even with rounding you no damn well that is what Sony would say.

2. That is just PS3Slim sales there probably is another 100K of sales of the fat PS3. OK who would purchase a PS3 fat when they can get the new PS3Slim. No Mr. Retailer please give me that old SKU.

I know this is all anecdotal, or mostly a US thing, but every Best Buy, Walmart, Gamestop, etc.  I have been to over the last few weeks has had plenty of PS3 slims (0 phats remaining), and like only one or 2 Arcade 360s left and a bunch of Wii's.

Just the other day I was at walmart and there were like 10 PS3 Slims in the case and 1 Arcade 360 and like 15 Wii's.  I almost took a video with my cell phone but I knew it would just be anecdotal so I didn't.

Translation of what nightsurge is trying to say: "PS3s are overtracked and 360s are undertracked."

Those are some pretty good sales for this new console. I can't believe it sold 1 million copies within 3 weeks. This is some great news for the PS3. I just can't wait to find out what their sales will be during the holiday season.
