I have an account on N4G, but I need to submit three articles before I can approve stuff

@ loadedstatment, thanks I'm not that familiar with N4G yet, so how do you get the degrees to increase? Is it just views or does the rating users give it also matter?

@dsister44, after you submit 3, if you would be willing to have message sent to you asking you to approve articles let me know.

Leaving a comment usually helps increase the degrees.

N4G won't release exactly what goes into the degrees for obvious reasons.  If they came out and said "Comments are the only thing that give you a higher degree" then everyone would spam comments.  So, we dont know. NO ONE knows.  But do everything I said in my previous post and our articles will do just fine.

I made a digg account ages ago, but I have no idea what my username and password is.
Never heard of reddit (i assume a pun of "read it") until I saw it in the hit-list for articles here (where tarheel is getting figures from)

My last VGC-MW article got about 90 and 30 hits from 2 Eastern European websites.

Thanks for the information everybody, I haven't been commenting or rating any on the stories, but I'll start now.

Another Daily Upday

Video Game Release in America - Current views 967, Diggs 1, Redddit Not Submitted, N4G not submitted

Video Game Releases in Europe - Current views 550, Diggs 1, Reddit Not Submitted, N4G link (needs approval)

Look at Those Legs Game of the Day - Current views 671, Diggs 1, Reddit Not submitted, N4G link (needs approval)

eh, I don't know if it is a good idea to submit the release dates to digg. I know they get grumpy when they start seeing "spam" which release dates are incredibly generic. I don't know enough about reddit or N4G to know if it is a good idea, but it is probably a waste of time.

My other news article (1991 campus challenge) though would have been a good submission to any of those services.

Another daily update, I don't normally like updating this thread with only one of my articles, but I could really use the help in getting it approved on N4G and updating this thread does seem to be helping.

Change in Sales Need for Speed, Current views 2146, Diggs 1, Reddit 2, N4G link (still waiting on approval)

Daily update

Market Share update - Current views 384, Diggs 1, reddit 1, N4G link (waiting to be approved).
Weekly Preview - Current views 1340, Diggs not sumbitted, reddit 1, N4G link

For the Weekly preview it is already at 30 degrees on N4G, and getting to 50 will make it more prominent on the site.  So even if you don't have an N4G account you can easily help the article out by quickly creating an account at N4G and then leaving a comment for the article and clicking the link to the article through N4G.  If you have an established account make sure you also rate the article as "good".  Getting a lot of people to see the preview might be able to keep them around when the worldwide software is updated.

Updated: Also help the Gran Turismo PSP review at N4G.  It is almost at 50 degrees already, but nobody has approved it.  If it gets approved and past 50 degrees it should get a lot views.
