"...the best way to prepare [to be a programmer] is to write programs, and to study great programs that other people have written. In my case, I went to the garbage cans at the Computer Science Center and fished out listings of their operating system." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

"Hey, Steve, just because you broke into Xerox's house before I did and took the TV doesn't mean I can't go in later and take the stereo." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

Bill Gates had Mac prototypes to work from, and he was known to be obsessed with trying to make Windows as good as SAND (Steve's Amazing New Device), as a Microsoft exec named it. It was the Mac that Microsoft took for its blueprint on how to make a GUI.

""Windows [n.] - A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition.""

Nintendo is gonna do some serious damage this holiday.

Thats cool. Blue Ocean strategy has actually worked pretty well so far and a price drop works in favor for it. Cause look at it this way, people who were interested in Wii but were not able to purchase it because of its $250 price point will now be more interested in it because of the $50 price cut. More people will be able to purchase the console then ever before because of its new lower price, thus increasing demand for the console, increasing revenue for Nintendo, and thus allowing Nintendo to make more Wii's and increase the supply of the console and overall the installed userbase of the console will increase. This is a good thing for both the fans and Nintendo themselves and as much of us know the Wii has legs, so the price of the console will not need another cut for about another 3 years. Not only that Nintendo is very smart. They waited for Microsoft and Sony to cut their prices first. Then they do their last to have more of a lasting impact on the consumers and the people. If you ask me, thats VERY good legs. not one price drop for 3 years! What other video game console has been able to achieve that? Thats what I thought.

So think about it. Those 52 or so million number of people who have Wii's will increase. PS3 and 360 will have a much harder time chewing Nintendo's dust as the Wii F-Zero's itself past the finish line for the second time about to lap them and we Nintendo fans have something to be very happy about.
