Any recommendations please? Where can I get a cheaper original NDSi console, together with games in cheaper price? I was wondering if I should get it from eBay or not since I don't know how long will it take to get the console? I want to buy one for my brother.

The DSi is still fairly new so don't expect to find too many deals without strings attached.

As for games, they're the same price as normal DS games. New games run $20-35, used runs cheaper (all depending on the game).  You might find lots or bundles of used games, but don't expect many new games and definitely don't expect any DSi only games in those.

Shipping isn't really a standard thing, if you buy from eBay you'll simply have to read the auction. If the seller doesn't state in the auction how long it will take, ask them. Shipping can take anywhere from a day to two weeks, just depends on how much you are willing to pay.

Forgot to say, personally, if you want to buy it online and don't feel like dealing with eBay just use Amazon. They always have about the best new prices you can get.  Of course that's assuming you have Amazon Prime and can get free two day shipping.

Otherwise, just go to Gamestop, Walmart, Best Buy, ect.

If you want cheaper and used, search around on eBay and you can probably find a decent deal or bundle if you're lucky.  Just make sure to read the description.  I wouldn't really bother buying new from eBay unless you find an incredible deal, and in that case, just make sure to check their feedback.

Trying to find a deal on Nintendo products is very hard. They hardly ever reduce their price even years later.

To be honest I use them 'cos they ship to NZ, but they seem to have some alright deals on games sometimes. Otherwise just check out stores? DSi won't be cheap anywhere yet.
