Expect video game journalism is in a league of its own. Theres no such thing of fair or balanced in their repertoire or at least in my opinion.
You cannot make such a generic statement. Weather a review source is impartial or not can only be realized on a case by case basis and on collecting evidence over long periods of time.
On top of that, an impartial reviewer today can cease to be so tomorrow if they get bought over by a big corporation.
Also your contention that reviewers are somehow different from corporate execs does not hold up as reputed and multi-million $ review sites have corporate execs that run them (Example: IGN is owned by FOX which is owned by News Corp. which is owned by Rupert Murdoch)
Big review sites are actually corporations and are thus subject to all the laws of the capitalistic market and can be bought and manipulated if you have enough money.
