Forums - Microsoft - So I saw the Forza Motorsports 2/Marvel UA bundle today....

I haven't seen any posts about sightings of it so...

I needed to goto my local mall after work today to pick up a cake for my G/F and I's annaversary. On the way, I decided to goto my local EB/GS and see if there were any budget titles that might be neat. And I wanted to buy Marvel: Ultimate Alliance anyways, since I needed it.

While looking at all of the used games lying around, I noticed an overpriced copy of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.

I start looking closer at it, I noticed something: it was the Forza Motorsports 2/Marvel pack-in for the "pro" holiday bundle.

I was suprised that they were selling it separate from the pro packs. Not only this, the tag indicated that it was "used" due to the yellow tag. However, it was normal price ($59.99 for both games). This leads me to believe they took the game out of a X360 and are trying to resell it. I am unsure if this means they're going to sell the X360 cheaper...Say $299.99 or $319.99, or if they're trying to screw customers out of a game.

Also, the box was definately both games - one side was Marvel:Ultimate Alliance, the front cover of the game, and on the reverse was Forza Motorsports 2. The DVD case (a standard one) was rather weighty, so I opened it. Ironically, the manual was in there for both games, and the DVD was a modified one: it was a swivel one (ie, had a middle insert w/ swivel for the second game).

I thought this was pretty odd that I saw it at my normal EB/GS. I haven't seen anyone else talk about this, so...

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Around the Network

Microsoft's gonna sue somebody!

Actually, I'm pretty sure that companies aren't allowed to break bundles and sell units separately. I know it's commonplace in other industries so I assume it's the same for gaming.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

they are already being sold online.

Note: Some games in my collection are no longer owned, but have owned.

Someone may have bought the 360 bundle, took out the bundled game disc and managed to resell it back to some EB employee who didn't realize they're not for resale.

Is this going to start showing in the weekly charts like WiiPlay and WiiSports bundled with Nintendo hardware?
