Hey, developers don't want challenge? Then you shouldn't be developing.
It makes me laugh when developers won't work on PS3 because it's too hard, that is the point where you know you have bad developers.

er no...

thats an illogical response.

it doesnt make them bad... it makes them developers who have an eye on budget and time constraints... its called business.

If your refusing to develop on something, and your answer is "it's too hard" then maybe you shouldn't be developing.

No one said it's easy, but when you say something is "too hard" it shows laziness IMO, also shows you are too lazy to learn anything new.

What your saying is like chaining a basketball player to a 50 kg weight and telling them to play....and them obviously complaining  by saying "its too hard"because it is UNESSESARILY harder for them to play.

You are not a developer(nor am I) and you have no idea how hard it is to develop games. If sony actually cared about developers they would have made a system with devs in mind and not put in features for bragging rights.

This is sony's fault no one elses.

Oh, because it's Sony's fault they made a tough console to develop on? Because a challenge is sooooo hard, right? Espescially for a developer, RIGHT? Because developers shouldn't learn how to develop on different consoles, right?

Theres a difference between hard(which is what developing already is) and unessessarily hard (what developing for the ps3 is).

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

Around the Network

I agree with the developer that development should start on the PS3, this is a lot easier when you are a developer that have experience in PC gaming.

The reason is that the Xbox360's architecture is similar to a PC, so it makes a transition easy and smoothly. However, the PS3 does not share that similarity and more work must be put to make a quality version of the game.

The developer's proposal was to not start with the Xbox360 and then go to PS3 because it requires many twists and code optimization to have a competent version. Instead they propose to start with the PS3 and then go to the Xbox360 since Xbox 360 is easier compared to PS3 and PC

it doesn't make sense to have difficulties at the middle or end of the development cycle, because those are better suited for optimization, debugging, and testing. Start with the relatively hardest part is better. On this way the developer can guarantee a very good PS3 version of the game, which will please Sony fans

Kid, give it up. You're a Sony fanboy, you don't see straight, you're freaking 15 for crying out loud, you know nothing about developing, period!

Your 23, what's your point? I don't see how age has a factor in this, a 15 year old can be smarter than a 23 year old, not impossible.

I'm in a grade 11 programming class for C++, do I know everything? No. Am I learning? Yes.

Why don't you keep your age comments to yourself, tough guy.
