The games that I have gotten the most replay value out of over the years are....

Super Metroid
Tetris
Fallout 1 + 2
Halo 1 + 2 + (i'm sure over time, 3)
Do MMO's count? If so Guild Wars.
SSX Tricky
Diablo 2
Animal Crossing (actually, my gf played this one for a full year, great value for me)
Super Mario 1, 3, and World
Mortal Kombat 1 + 2 + 3.

Zelda  - A Link to the Past (almost forgot this one)

What do you guys think of my list?

I can't really think of any other games at the moment.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Tetris and Civilization (any game in either series). Nothing else has even remotely come close in my personal gaming experience.

I'm a bit surprised by some of the games listed here; they may be very well made, but "replayability" is a different subject. I mean, I love the Final Fantasy games, but they don't have much replay value (at least, the highly linear recent ones don't). The story is still the same each time, after all...

That's true about FFfor the majority, I suppose.  However, I have played completely through FFVI at least seven times on two different systems.  For me, it's like rereading a Robert Jordan novel or something.  I want to reread/replay the story...I enjoy it.
