Forums - Microsoft - Ferrari Cars Not Really Exclusive to Forza 3.

"A somewhat misleading press release issued by Microsoft had car fans in a tizzy this morning as it was claimed that a number of Ferrari cars were "exclusive to Forza 3 on the Xbox 360". Exclusive DLC, pre-order bonuses and the like have become common this generation, and it is often hard to keep track of which console has what as an 'exclusive'. However, since iconic cars like the Ferrari Enzo are already included in Gran Tursimo for the PSP, we know that it is not the case. So what does Microsoft really mean by the press release."

So... one vg247 article combated by another N4G article? Why is N4G like the absolute worst fanboy news house.

If the first article was legitimate, it could mean many things. The wording said "Exclusive for Xbox 360!!!! Forza 3 will showcase a collection of Ferrari cars" so it could mean "Forza 3 is 360 exclusive", or "A specific car collection of varying years/models is exclusive to just Forza 3", or something else.

Regardless this self posted fanboy damage control article means nothing in relation to the original one as he has no proof and only speculation to what was meant.

Seems it was just, intentionally or unintentionally, ambiguous wording from Microsoft's PR.

"Forza 3 is 360 exclusive! Here are some Ferrari cars it has!" would have been much clearer.

Blown way out of proportion. Here is the announcement from Microsoft

http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/news-features/news/ferrariforza3_18092009.htm

Notice their wording.

Exclusive to Xbox 360! Forza Motorsport 3 will include 29 classic models from the legendary manufacturer.

As in Exclusive to the 360, Forza 3. Which has 29 classic models from Ferrari. All these blog sites rearranged the words to make it seam like Microsoft was saying Ferrari was exclusive to Forza3. Like this one.

http://www.vg247.com/2009/09/18/ferarri-exclusive-to-forza-3-says-ms/

Look at their heading.

“Ferrari exclusive to Forza 3,” says MS

Microsoft did not say that at all.

EMULATION is the past.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

the ambiguity is whether the exclusive pertains to forza 3 or the fact that forza has 29 classic Ferrari's , all they had to do was make forza motorsport exclusive to xbox 360 part as a seperate heading

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

Damn I hate fanboys.

What the hell are they thinking? MS never said something like this, they were just too stupid to read the statement. It said Forza 3 is exclusive and it includes Ferraris. Everybody with an IQ of bread understood.

Now they blame Microsoft for their own stupidity.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Uhhh..does this matter?

I can't imagine how you'd come to that conclusion.  The logical conclusion is that it's talking about the Ferrari's, and if they didn't mean that then the editior should have made an alteration to the text.  It's simply misleading.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

With a hthread like this it makes me happy I didnt buy a Microsoft peice of technology, same with Sony full of such misleading advertising
