Maybe MS was afraid to let the ODST reviews go ?

I don't know if they're fake, but I saw a 40/100 and a 64/100 review for ODST...

Hey, I'm a huge Xbox supporter, I don't even own a PS3 and I think everything about this game looks like an amazing experience. You gotta be willing to call a spade a spade, and a diamond a diamond, or you are not a real gamer. If ODST is a stinker, you bet your ass I'll be here making a thread calling Bungie out!

I see what you mean...lol. the other review on PSN magazine is even funnier. Its quote on metacritic is...

"A veritable master class of all-round game development. From a sensational single-player experience that never takes any short-cuts and maintains its story's mythological credibility right to the end to the co-operative online play to the robust, balanced, and just plain fun multiplayer modes, this is a package of content that more than earns its $60 price tag... [It's] this season's biggest PS3 victory."

Its hard to take a review seriously when its polishing a games knob like that...

i really appreciate the early reviews for sony games. it allows for more educated purchases.

There is an embargo you know ..

I believe the 4/10 was from a Wii Fanboy website. I'm not sure where the 64/100 came from, but that is probably fake too. Even if it is just Halo 3 + Expansion it wouldn't deserve such a low score because it has all the Halo 3 multiplayer content which people love.

Gaming magazines often have their review of a new game at the same time that a game releases (often times, before!). They get copies before retailers do. I think the review is legit, and I will be pre-ordering.

I work in online advertising and have worked for sites and online publishers before. There is no money changing hands for reviews... Publishers have to follow review embargo dates and this could be why the Halo review is not out.

However IGN is releasing it on Satuday...well before the game is out. So by Monday lots of reviews should be available.

Anywho, I just find it suspicios when game gets reviewed a month early. Kinda like ..."here, you can review this early if you hype it up and make it seem like its the best game ever"

naughty Dog just decided to send games out early and not have an embargo.  Halo ODST was done months ago and they could've done the exact same thing, they just decided not to.
