Quite a decent push in the UK then...although the PS3 sold under 7k last week, so 18k+ this week.  And seeing that the 360 was 26k last week...means that sales have dramatically dropped for the 360 to fall below 18k.  Maybe means that the 360 is already back down to 15-17k only a few weeks after Halo 3.

Sales will be considerably higher in other countries in Europe and seeing as the other regions numbers for last week were 57k for the 360 and 32k for the PS3.  I reckon those numbers could look like the reverse.  Expect anywhere from 60k-100k for the PS3 and maybe a good big drop for the 360 from 57k to 25-30k.

Advertising for the PS3 is very minimal at the moment...I do see adverts for Heavenly Sword though from time to time...and with PES 2008 coming out in a week or so followed by Ratchet & Clank and then Uncharted, as long as Sony advertised those games heavily especially Ratchet & Clank, then I reckon there is no reason why the PS3 can't at least match the 360 in Europe this Xmas.

Its going stay high for this holiday season and drop. I still don't see why the PS3 will overtake the 360. Its still unbeliveable. The PS3 needs more than 12 weeks to overtake the 360. So as long as units are selling and they are close to the PS3. I see no chance in hell the PS3 is going to catch up. And plus those are simply hardcore gamers that couldn't and didn't want the simple at launch due to the price, that got the system now. We don't even know if the mainstream jumped upboard. But don't think this holiday season that the 40GB is selling the 60GB could be doing some work too.

All hardcore gamers are buying the Xbox360, cheaper+better line-up.
All hardcore wanted to play Bioshock or are waiting for MassEffect.

The new PS3 owner are Core Gamer.
People that know videogames because of some PSX/PS2 and that want to play to their favorite game on their favorite console :

PES / GTA on a Playsation.

They dont go on internet. They just check at their retailers when the PS3 is going to drop his price, when PEs2008 is coming. the only thing they know : they will get a PS3 sooner or later.

No, the PS3 won't catch up with the total European sales any time soon.  The 360 is currently on 3.2m sold in Europe with the PS3 on 1.35m sold in Europe, so the PS3 is around 1.85m behind the 360 in sales.

All the PS3 can do this holiday season in Europe is make sure that it keeps up with the 360 sales wise.  As it should do better once a few of the bigger games appear early next year.  Once thing to note though, is that the PS3 has sold the same number of PS3's in Europe in 6 months as the 360 in Europe in 11 months.

im sorry but this happend in the US when the 80gb came out and the 60gb clearance sale happend this means nothing it means people that wanted it can now get it which isnt that many after 4 weeks
