Never played the game, but that phrase made me lol.

Yeah, has nothing to do with personal tastes. World Ends With You by no means failed at being a great game, it failed at being a great game for you, KylieDog. Considering your misanthropic posting and often venomous negativity, it's not really that much of a surprise. Personally I would never presume to label an experience as "bad" or "lame" or whatever you said without fully experiencing it.

It would be like claiming that you dislike Stairway to Heaven because it never rocked hard enough for you, and that, well, okay, other may claim that it rocks later in the song, but I only listened to the first 2 minutes and then got bored, thus it fails as a great song. That does not make it bad song, or even a bad song by your tastes. 

Sometimes things take a while to get into or to fully appreciate. It's pretty childish to sneer at acquired tastes, passing it off as a "bad game because it couldn't hold your attention.". 

an RPG fan huh??? i find that hard to believe since TWENY is one of the best RPG's ive seen in quite some time. But yea all i see from u are fail/noob levels at an all time high
