I think we have a repeat of the Sony situation here (leaks/rumors/premature confirmations). If this proves true, which looks more likely by the day, good for the industry.

Honestly though, I don't think the Wii really needs a price drop, it STILL sells boatloads at $250, nearly 3 years later. That's a notable feat all by itself, never mind that the damn thing is the fastest selling console in gaming history...

Nintendo = BEASTS!

Unfortunately Wi isi just about to fall behind DS pace in the cming months unless the price cut has something to do with it =(.

It must be hard for price cuts to be kept secret since retailers need to know in advance so they can begin printing their ads. I'm surprised Nintendo managed to hold off leaks until 2 weeks before the cut (if the Sept. 27th drop is to be believed which all ads are saying). Much better than Sony's fiasco with PSP go and PS3 slim which put ah uge dent into sales.

I still say Sony's leaks are deliberate...........

perhaps, maybe they like to see big huge spikes from pent up demand, hehe.

Now Italian GS cutting:

http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=86325&page=1

Confirmed 100%. I wonder if there'll be a $250 bundle too though.

This is from another thread, but it adds more to the idea. Seems to all be leaking out now.

Too bad Nintendo themselves couldn't surprise the stores with the cut. They did far better than either Microsoft or Sony in trying to hide it up to now.

This ad stated a 5000 limit which seems weird.

Maybe Wii Lite or Wii Plus is on the way?

Yeah, I'm think the Italian ad supports the notion of clearance for a new SKU, rather than an official price cut.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

The only thing now is to see what kind of bundles they're coming out with before Black Friday.

360 Games Now Playing   360 Games unopened:  Resonance of Fate  Last 360 Game I Beat: Resident Evil 5

DS Games Now Playing: Dragon Quest VI  DS Games unopened Knights in the Nightmare, Etrian Odyssey III, Okamiden, Dragon Quest IX Last DS Game I beat: Radiant Historia

Wii Games Now Playing  Super Mario Galaxy 2, Arc Rise Fantasia  Wii  Games unopened  Little King's Story, Sonic Colors, Silent Hill Shattered Memories Last Wii Game I beat: Sin & Punishment 2

Wasn't there a rumor that a new Wii with more internal ram was coming or am I just imagining based on peoples wants.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

This rumor looks more and more solid, at $200 I pretty much have to get a second Wii

New ad from Best Buy 199. http://kotaku.com/5362694/this-is-getting-wii+diculous

Something big is about to happen, when will Nintendo spill the beans officially?

Are all these rumours coming from Kotaku?

Looking pretty likely there'll be a price cut now. NSMB Wii bundle before Christmas, perhaps? Or a Wii Fit Plus bundle? Both?

Well, Nintendo will do something, but we don't know WHAT, while the elite, ps3 slim and go thing were very detailed even if they were rumors...

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)
