Thats how long it takes to start recycling ideas...which were already recycled from other games.

going off topic, which i hate to do in a thread about one of my favorite games ever . . .

AA yes feels like splinter cell a little, and a few other things.  but what doesnt?  tell me some non recycled games you play?  its a labour of love, and for comic fans a dream, and it is definitely well crafted with more than a few original ideas

try not to sound like bitter man, when that problem is in almost everygame i can think of

its like trying to find an original movie . . . there are not many, and evem if you find one, it prolly ripped off something you never heard of.

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

Didnt Shenmue cost SEGA lot of money?

@blade

not sure but it has to be cheaper now

at the time tho the amount of vo and detail was a lot of work

I'd hope they'd push back or eliminate the lod'ing, shenmue would look incredible if people didn't pop in 20 feet away
anyway, the only problem I'd have with it as a live release would be only 12 achievements, which isn't enough for a game like shenmue, unless they did it in chapters,
if they did shenmue 1+2 over like 10 episodes at 400 points a piece I'd spend the 4000 points on it

I absolutely loved Shenmue, it was the reason i bought a Dreamcast to begin with, however...i don't support this idea. I'm not willing to go back to Shenmue after all these years, and what's more, i don't want to even think about how the story is incomplete. It'd be torture to relive the experience, and know that it'll never have closure. Good idea in theory, but i don't see it being worthwhile. Buy a Dreamcast...buy Shenmue...and say, "bleep bloop" when you think you did something that warrants an achievement, lol. Otherwise...let this sleeping giant do just that...sleep.

P.S. Now if they were to continue the story, this idea would be great, so new ones, and old can play through the game again, and get caught up to jump into the new releases.

I never had the chance to play either Shenmue 1 or 2. Seeing as how I was a Nintendo fanboy from the time of the NES till about halfway through last gen. I qwould buy the game off of Live in a instance

Shenmue and the second are two of the greatest games I've ever played. I'm itching to see if Gui Zhang would come into it again. Wonder how him and Ren (favourite) would be with each other lol. Polar opposites!!

Sega should have re released them both on the PS2. Maybe then they could have salvaged something. I heard every dreamcast owner( not many) had to buy it twice for it to be a success. Why not slap it on a console with 70% marketshare?

Ok, Batman AA doesn't take 3 hours, thats a fib, but i completed it yesterday on hard in around 6 hours.

So if i replayed it on normal i think i could get it down to 4 hours.

Really, if your not going for the riddles, how long is it? think about it...............

I 1000 percent approve of this idea

they should do shenmue 1 and 2, and SOMEHOW even if its 10 minutes long, carve out a third

Indeed, a Shenmue 1 & 2 collection would be fantastic, and seem as Sega don't seem to want to touch Shenmue again, they could just ask Yu Suzuki to make a 10-20 minute FMV movie and bring this epic story to a conclusion for all of us who have suffered all these years waiting to see what happens.
