i don't know about that, OP.
The one thing I hear the most from wii gamers is something along the lines of
"eh, _______ doesn't bother me, it's fun"

no no no.

if you look at past cod4 threads. all you hear is excuses. it is like all 3rd party games, they hype them up then they complain about something sucking hence justifying why they didn't buy it.

no wii speak = no buy

no lan = no buy

no more then 12 online player = no buy

the game is old = no buy

hell where was all that complaining when RE4 was remade for the 4th time?

well speaking from both sides of the fences of HD and Wii, I can say I do enjoy the gfx of the COD games, but yet I found COD:WAW even though it laked stuff much more fun to play on wii with a remote. Now COD4 is a WAY BETTER GAME. SO just imagine how good it will be on Wii.

Amen.

Oh, some complained about RE4 when it was annouced for the Wii. Just that they shut up when it was clear it was the best version.

Actually, one advantage that RE4 had was the extra content the GC version never had but the PS2 version did, not just the better controls

How the hell did you read "best version" as "just the better controls"?

I've never undertood why people care about voice chat. I've spent dozens of hours with CoD4 on PC and people hardly ever say anything. And when they do I turn it off.

Sorry, just wanted to point that out.

In the many sites I have been (when I had more available time), there was a greater level of acceptance from Wii owners, because once the extra content was announced. It was nothing new, but many GC owners never played the PS2 version for many reasons (won't dig on that part).

RE4 was a special case, the GC version was graphically better than the PS2 version and there were very slight improvements on the Wii, addding the extra content the PS2 version had.

Comparing RE4 with MW is not a fair one. RE4 was better accepted before it was released and at that time the "piss off" level was way lower than today

I wasn't claiming there was as much complaining, just that it wasn't "hell where was all that complaining when RE4 was remade for the 4th time?" that Cobretti2 wrote.

I realize RE4 didn't have the reduced graphics that many complain about (and then refuse to recognize the graphics that are there). So I know the complaints are more over this than RE4.

But it did get the "it's two years old" complaints that this is getting now..

Its more like reviewers focus too much on negatives when reviewing Wii games.

The majority of people I know, internet or 'live', don't complain about the features of Wii games. They enjoy what they get. Its the reviewers and 'anti'-Wii people who seem to bring up the majority of the negatives. Usually comparing them to another game on another console.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

true.

From what I have seen, the game is accepted when the port is upwards, meaning an update/upgrade over the previous/original version. Games for Gamecube, PS2 and PSP that can be ported to Wii and get some enhancements (RE4, MP, MHG, PB) are more accepted even though the port is not pushing the console.

The real problem is when the porting comes from HD consoles, while some may accept it, others will rant about it (Chop Till you Drop)

this thread wasnt really about COD4 i was just using it as an example

its like if a 3rd party game is announced and it doesnt support certain things like wii speak or WM+

people will hate it and say it sucks no matter what

They've become spoiled by features, ignoring whether or not the core gameplay is still intact.

I think Wii owners should really be focusing on why they have no hardcore fanbase. I think that is the main problem that continues to keep effecting Nintendo this generation.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

the wii is perfectly fine by me.
