Forums - Nintendo - Core Gamers: Wii vs Gamecube

At this point the GC has the better library. I'll give the Wii another year and half before it catches up.

for me, the current lack of star fox/pikmin and the dissappointment that was super paper mario is ruled out by the superiority of prime 3 to its predecessors, the release of disaster day of crisis and the huge upswing in third party support

Prime > Prime 3, but Galaxy > Sunshine.

So idk. They're about even for now. Wii's got more hidden gems, i say.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

The point in the OP is valid.

The general attach rate for a console is under a dozen.

So regardless of how much drek and shovelware that gets produced, you can find 9-10-12 really excellent games for a system to make you happy and that you have can play for a long long time.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

7. Super Paper Mario - Xbox and PS fans won't get it. They just won't get it...

This game is and will forever be a disappointment--not because it's a bad game, but because it's not the same Paper Mario I know and love.

Don't forget Tales of Symphonia (Gamecube) and Tales of Symphonia 2 (Wii) 2 gems in the RPG world...

I have a PS2 and a NDS, and i have a lot of RPGs in both systems, but this is a Wii vs Gamecube thread...

BTW, ToS and ToS2 are both good JRPGs, and that's rare on the Gamecube and Wii (as of right now)...
