Forums - General - Desperate Evolutionists create Biological Big Bang theory

CommunistHater said:

Eugene Koonin and two friends from the NIH went tree-hunting. They examined almost 7,000 genomes of prokaryotes. They found trees all right – a whole forest of them. They even found 102 NUTs (nearly universal trees) in the forest. Unfortunately, it’s not what they wanted to find: a single universal tree of life that Darwin’s theory requires. They had to seriously consider the question: was there a biological big bang?

Isn’t it amazing the lengths the Temple of Darwin will go to avoid scientific fact that evolution can not be responsible for the major jumps in the development of life on earth?

Sorry, if they wanted to find trees why did they look at the genome of prokaryotes? does"tree" have some alternate, genetic conotation?

A much more damning condemnation of evolutionism would be scientists' complete lack of an explanation for how your brain works.

Absolutely not. There is a very simple explanation for why we may never be able to understand the brain, but it will likely be viewed as the next great blow to human pride. Our brains are simply not complex enough to ever understand itself. In that sense, we may well be like every other animal on the planet.

hehe. Good response. But that wasn't quite what I meant. (I was responding to Communist Hater)

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

And clearly you didn't listen in science class at school because if you did you would understand the scientific process.

That's a Bingo.

Anyone commenting on science who doesn't fully understand the scientific process... well, word fails me.

A source would be nice too.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

So many great responses!

But, I don't understand why the OP seems to contradict the thread title.

I think our Commie-hating friend got his attack (most likely second- or third-hand) from something like this:

I'm glad this "debate" is confined to the US. Outside of it, evolution is one of the strongest scientific theories w have in terms of weight of evidence and the strong preductions Darwin made using it that all cam through (fossils in the right order, finding a physical basis for evolution (DNA), mechanism for evolution of complex things like the eye). It's more solid than Newton's gravity [which was shown to be inaccurate by Einstein of course].

Heh, I'm very happy people are agreeing with me. I thought maybe my comment was trollish.

Wait for it... That's a Bingo.

Don't know why but I loved the way he delivered that line.  Actually, he delivered all his lines very well, but that one stuck with me for some reason.

That entire scene is priceless and I agree with you: his whole performance was awesome!
