For every console/handheld, there's that one game that defines epicness and pushes people over the edge to finally buy that system. The list of games that have the highest attach rate to current gen consoles are as follows:
Nintendo Wii ~ Consoles Sold: 53.09 million
Wii Play* ~ Units Sold: 24.11 million
Attach Rate: 45.4%

Nintendo DS ~ Consoles Sold: 109.84 million
Nintendogs ~ Units Sold: 22.71 million
Attach Rate: 20.7%

Sony PSP ~ Consoles Sold: 51.27 million
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite ~ Units Sold: 3.78 million
Attach Rate: 7.3%

Sony PS3 ~ Consoles Sold: 23.97 million
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots ~ Units Sold: 4.19 million
Attach Rate: 17.5%

Microsoft Xbox 360 ~ Consoles Sold:31.81 million
Halo 3 ~ Units Sold: 10.13 million

So, what conclusions can be made based on this data?
* Wii owners probably bought Wii Play for the extra controller, leading to inflated sales (Wii Sports was not counted because it's heavily bundled.)
* DS owners love puppies.
* PSP owners don't have a single game they tend to buy over others. Perhaps this is because of piracy issues.
* PS3 owners realized the hype surrounding Metal Gear Solid 4 was justified.
* 360 owners can't resist Halo, selling to over 30% of the userbase.
