Forums - Nintendo - "Epic Mickey" to be revealed next month in Game Informer

Guys, the dev's site confirms it's a Wii only game as I said. Also, www.junctionpointstudios.com pictures shows them playing the game and they're using a Wii remote and nunchuk. It's a Wii game. It's not coming to the HD consoles.

Could you post a more direct link to the Wii game-play pix? I cannot seem to find it.

Thanks

All I care for is that it comes to the Wii.

Fullfilled Prophecies

There's a pic on there of a dude with a Wii remote and nunchuk, but he could be playing Mario Kart.

The rumor, from a few years ago I think, was that Spector was developing a "Mario Killer" Mickey Mouse platformer for Wii. And everything since then has pointed in that direction. But things change, and things can really change when rumors hang around for years with no announcements.

So while I'd say there's a 90% probability of it being a Wii game, we can't assume anything.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

I have a feeling this will be an'ell of a game. May not sell very well unless it's marketed properly (Disney Channel ) but it will be soooo good. Trust me

I know, but there's no point making a high quality game like this multiplat at the last minute.

FFXIII

that was announced a year ago and the game hasn't been released yet, that  does not count as last minute.

We don't know how long this game will take to come out either. It could easily be a Holiday 2010 game. Like I said, I don't think it is likely, but it could happen.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I would say that the Game Informer treatment means it is a 2010 Holiday game. Often its big stories are on games that are a long way off -- especially later in the year (for example both Brutal Legend and Ghostbusters were eight months before their original release dates).

Wow I really like the Mickey paint splat they have for the cover pic.
Well I certainly hope it lives up to its name and is truly 'epic'

I do have a strange sense of excitement especially after seeing the concept art.
Hopefully they do something innovative and challenging :)

This suits the Wii audience best, however I don't feel the wii audience will appreciate it like so many other decent games that get poor sales. Hopefully Nintendo push this as a big hitter. This is probably the first game that makes me want a wii, fond memorys of playing Mickey on my sega megadrive

Hopefully Disney pushes it. Besides, with Warren Spector behind the game, it should be able to push itself, atleast among the "hardcore" audience.

nvm, found it. Also, one of those pics shows a wireless gamecube controller. But, no PS360 controllers anywhere.
