I guess given the crazy faliure rates true or untrue being touted by all and sundry my Aug 07 360 was something of an oddity in that it had provided me with over 2 years of fantastic gaming flawlessly.

It all ended tonight. Powered up and noticed that the graphics in NXE looked a little dodgy. A bit like when a 24 bit jpeg is displayed using just 8 bit colours.

A quick reboot confirmed my fears. E74 has struck.

Its all a bit weird tho. The console had been played like a bitch while I finished Batman AA but has been off for nearly 10 days, as I went away.

Maybe a good cooking then inactivity did for my 360 but Hey Ho.

I'm not bitter. Far from it. The 360 has gotten more play time than any other console I've owned. I just cant believe I'm going to be without it for so long.

Sorry for your loss, you should bet it back fairly quickly though.

luckily ur still in the 3 year warranty and MS has IMO the best customer service unlike "cough*SoNy*cough*

Sheesh there's always one, isn't there !

I've already done the online forms and everything seems OK. They have said an E label will be dispatched ASAP so I guess its going to be fine given time.

The Wii has already been brought blinking into the daylight...

I also have some PS2 classics only half finished so its not a dead loss.
