You shoudl try it, GTA 4 feels like you were given a half empty glass of beer, also the bar tender gives you his issues.

China town Wars is a full glass, with refills, and hot chicks (or men?)  serving you delicious tacos.

Ok its not that great but wow is it much better than 4.

I remember those month of anticipation and hype for GTA4 was just killin me as every day I'd go and look up GTA4 screens, trailers, new info's etc I was so pumped for it then the day when it finally hit the stores came and I rushed to my local game shop and didn't care if it's $119 and still bought it expecting to be blown away but then after a couple of hours playing the game I finally snaped out from my GTA4 hype, turned off the game and sat for a little while asking my self what have I done...why did I spend $119 on this game.

i do believe that the 360 version held back gta 4 but the game cost 100m to make in 4 years. im pretty sure gta 5 will be updated gta 4 engine like infinity ward doing to its cod4 engine and will possibly be on 2 xbox discs now with planes tanks and more. still gta 4 is one of my favorite games this gen

GTA:SA set the bar for sandbox style games. GTA4 just didn't cut it.

It is a very different game to San Andreas, I think they would have been better as making it not a GTA game, because GTA games are typically about over the top things, like the tanks, whereas this time they were more focused on making a very strong story, and focusing less on those side things.

IV was a fantastic game, and probably better than San Andreas, but they were focused on different things

For some genres at the moment. 

A good example being GTA like open world games that require lots of artwork.
