For person talking about a mario game as game of the year, its not going to happen, not because its not fun or because its on wii. But because a game of the year needs to have more than that, yes it needs to be fun but at the same time it also needs to be advance (graphics, sounds, controls, MULTI-PLAYER). Its not gonna be game of the year for the same reason ratchet and clank will not. But Uncharted 2 tho, have all this, with a presentation never seen before.

We dont talk about Wii, not to sleep better, but because the big quality title are on the other consoles maybe with the exception of Muramasa. Now if your more of a casual gamer type sure there is plenty of titles better for you on Wii, but usually gaming company that award those game are not casual. I mean look even Fire Emblem was below average :(.

mordern warfare 2 or halo 3:odst will win. Too many fanboys of those franchises. Watch and see

Obviously Uncharted 2 should be GotY but they will go with multiplatform MW2 to stay politicaly correct. See Fallout3 > MGS4...

Game of the year is easily going to go to Uncharted 2:Among Theives

If the orange box was allowed to be nominated for game of the year,then so can Metroid Prime Trilogy.Also,Gamespy put Mario Kart DS @ number 4 overall games of the year & Phantom hourglass(or prof layton,I can't remember which) at number 10 in its own year.I see no reason why Scribblenauts can't win it.Its the most unique game this year.Of course,Uncharted 2 could win it but I disagree with the title of the thread.
