HS shouldn't be there. It's an amazing game.

this author lost credibility when he said " However, if one were to compare it to its predecessor, the masterpiece known as Resident Evil 4, RE5 isn't even in the same ballpark."
RE4 was not a masterpiece
RE5 is a lot more in RE4's ballpark than this author thinks...I guess he is one of those gamers that started with RE4
No Lair? That's pretty surprising, especially since the Media loves to target that game, especially after the Review Kits were sent out.
I guess it shows that no one is safe from the all powerful gaming media. Run away!

I agree that RE4 is better, it was never an issue, the game won GOY in many places, but it's hard to bring that same feeling and new in the next game, thus it would never live up to the hype, but RE5 is still pretty good, and quite fun. It sold well and rated good, I just argue it being the most disapointed game this Gen. |
Fair enough... I agree it wasn't most dissapointing. I lost track of the argument here...
I agree with RE5 (maybe not number 1, but deff up there), and Haze. Lair should also be up there. I also disagree with Fable

I agree with this list, and would add GTAIV.

This list isn't about how good these games were. It's about how good they were in comparison to expectations.
I know that many will disagree, but I think that Heavenly Sword belongs on a list like this. I got it about three weeks ago for $20 after hearing how great it was. When I ended up playing it, I was left with an impression of... Meh. It wasn't a bad game, but it definitely left something to be desired. I guess I've just been spoiled with the best hack n' slash/action game there is, God of War.
Also, Fable is on the list. Fable is a good game/series. The list isn't saying that Fable is bad, it's just saying that Mr. Moleneux needs to shut his big yapper. That's all.

It had its problems, to be sure. Its short length and tons of screen tearing being the two biggest, imo.
The plot was also pretty weak, but it was told in such a gripping way that you didn't really notice until a few days after finishing the game lol. The cutscenes great.
Wow thats a really good list man, congrats for that.
A few of these were really good imo, but thats like 1, 2 maybe 3, but as for the rest of them... yes they become the escence of "meh".
