Forums - Microsoft - Why won't Microsoft hurry up and ban these pirates?

Several thousand testers and/or bungie employees?

The region is US/USA, and of course I'm not finding copies for sale early on eBay but maybe somewhere else?

I firmly believe many are still pirates.

Stress testing the servers for multi-player?

If you guys wish to belove that that's fine. I have my beliefs as well.

I've already read on several sites of people openly admitting to playing pirated copies and they are still live. I'm not going to link to them but I'm sure you can find it out there if you look enough.

I know you guys have your doubts because theres a lot of BS spouted by some posters here, but outside of my occasional non-witty joke or crack at something I always bring you the truth.

It's just that simple.

It's not hard to find Halo:ODST when it was for sale a short time, the hardcore fans went to online stores and got a copy early..

Halo:ODST is not region locked as stated in an early article that I can not find..

I would say a handfull of online players have burned copies, and will get banned for it..

Most hardcore Halo Fans aren't going to risk getting their account banned for life, and losing their rank and score..

"I don't trust #XboxOne & #Kinect 2.0, it's always connected" as you tweet from your smartphone - irony 0_o

Also, there is very likely a few thousand testers out there now. These online matchmaking systems take a lot of testing to ensure they work well. You can't just have 100 testers playing because you wouldn't get a very good picture of how things will be handled during peak times or anything like that.

I do believe you that some people have pirated copies, but there are other reasons that can be possible.

I suggest that you email xbox.com or whoever is in charge of live and tell them of your findings if it bothers you so much. Maybe you'll get a free copy to play early as a prize. ~_n

Piracy is a two-edged sword.

Some piracy creates more awareness of the product which encourages more people to purchase...

Rampant piracy takes the need to purchase away...

Why do you care?

Don't be mad cuz you cant play yet, you don't have the necessary connections that all (goes back to playing Halo ODST).

Microsoft is not banning people because Halo is MSG bread and butter, early advertisement is good advertisement.

Sure, you can believe what you want.  You could even believe that Mount Rushmore is the smartest human being in the world because it has four giant heads and everyone would still laugh at you for being absurd.  Little difference here.  If those were pirates on Live MS would have taken them out already.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

It was released in France at many stores last month..

I made a thread on it..

Region is US as I stated again. How many copies were sold through eBay to the US? I can't seem to find any recent or completed auctions.

Unless it's IP locked and selected then this means nothing.

Since live is working only in 26 countries then rest of world registers either as US or Uk ;)
