Ok, I just bought and XBOX 360 because I needed one for a project I am working on.

The only "must have" game I wanted for it was Pac Man Championship Edition (Great game, and a fair price, Gamer Tag = TheSimkin if you want to compare scores!).

But I can't think of any reason anyone would buy an XBOX360 over a PS3 if they could only have one.  The PS3 is now cheaper (especially after taking into acount Live Subscritions costing $60 a year). And as the ads say, it DOES IT ALL.

Plus it looks awesome.

The XBOX360 looks terrible in comparison.  A big ugly block.  And the wireless dongle, WTF. It's an "ELITE" model and it needs a ugly dongle for wireless?  i know everyone would preffer cable of wireless, but sometimes it's just not practicle.  The PS3 has built in WIFI and the Xbox360 needs a dongle? Seriously? And the WII has built in wireless too (but Ethernet port).

So why would did you get an Xbox360 over a PS3?  Was it just because it was out first? (This is what my co-workers who have xbox360's and not ps3s claim is their reason, but they say so with some regret in their voice).

I'm sorry, but this is a flamebait thread if I've ever seen one. It's perfectly fine to ask what you like better or why you would choose one thing over the other but the way you've worded things just welcomes all sorts of trouble with wide open arms.

360 appeals to more teens. basically most teens dont go on this or any other gaming website. PS3 has "no games" is what they all think unless you look through the games online. Everyone knows Halo, Gears of War and Left4Dead, all of which appeal to teens

Why would anyone buy a PS2 over xbox back in the day? Xbox raped it with power and had ethernet port and hard dive built in. And sold for same price.

Oh wait...PS2 had more acclaimed games. And last time i checked metacritic, xbox360 has a lead over PS3.

Not to mention that its more common in the english speaking parts of the world, if your freinds are playing 360 why would you buy ps3 and play alone like a loser?

Also the arcade is 199 if you want to play pacman, so ps3 isn't cheaper at all.

Arguments you stated are very shallow as they talk about devices that are visually pleasing and not about games, community and things like that...
